Were the supposed effects of Friday the 13th just delayed a couple of days? For one player on Table 12, it definitely seems to have been the case – but that turned out to be a good thing! The rest of the players on the table definitely seemed to agree.

With the last of the community cards out, the action went wild. First to act was Matthew Y in Seat 5, who led out with a bet of $155. The player in Seat 8 – Pierre-Paul P – raised to $465, and the third player in the hand folded. Matthew was facing a raise – and chose to re-raise to $1,180 – which Pierre-Paul responded to with a raise all-in for $1,700. Matthew snap called – and by then everyone knew what was happening.
