As if the Secondary Bad Beat Jackpot wasn’t enough, the PLO Bad Beat Jackpot has now been hit as well – that makes two jackpots in a single day! The hand was played at about 5:00pm this afternoon on a $5-$5 PLO table – the (locally) famous Table 13. The Jackpot amount at the time of the hand was $43,486, which will be divided as follows: 40% to the loser of the hand (Jackpot winner), 20% to the winner of the hand (plus the pot), 20% shared between the other players at the table, and a final 20% shared between all other PLO players in the room at the time.
The dealer button was on Seat 8 and there were the two blinds plus a straddle to $10 by the players in Seats 1 to 3. The player in Seat 6 opened the action with a raise to $30. Seat 7 called, as did the small blind (Seat 1). Action was back on Seat 2, who chose to raise pot ($160). Seat 6 and Seat 7 both called, Seat 1 folded. The dealer laid out the flop:
.
Action checked around on the flop, and the turn was dealt: . This time the action went check-check and then Seat 7 bet $200. Seat 2 made the call and Seat 6 simply folded.
The river was a fateful card: .
The player in Seat 2 very calmly checked his action, and Seat 7 quickly threw out a bet: $525. Action was back on Seat 2, who was able to go all-in with his remaining stack, and Seat 7 made the call.
Seat 2 –
for a rivered Royal Flush!
Seat 7 –
for a turned straight flush to the Jack, and a rivered better straight flush to the Queen!
So that makes 2 of our 3 Jackpots that were hit today… what madness is in store between now and midnight? Or between now and the end of the MILLIONS North America? Only time will tell!
