As hot as the temperature has been in the Montreal area, the action on the Pot Limit Omaha tables has been even hotter – and the games reached the white-hot point last night on a $2/$5 PLO table – Table 13, to be precise. The table was made up of a lot of the regular PLO players and the stacks were deep – the scene was set perfectly for some huge action.
After the blinds, a player universally known by his screen name – Jon14 – opened the action with a limp of $5. The preflop bet was raised to $25 by Carl D, who found 3 callers including Jon14. The flop was dealt.
Flop:
Action checked around and the turn was dealt:
The deuce spurred some action, as Carl put out a delayed C-bet of $60 and found 2 callers (one player folded). Next up, the often-fateful river card.
River:
The early position player in Seat 7 just checked, and Jon14 led out with a $75 bet. Perhaps surprisingly, Carl raised to $425 and the player in seat 7 folded. Action was back on Jon14 – he shoved all-in for $1,484… and found a call from Carl, who had $1,009 behind!
The showdown was obviously going to be spectacular, and the hands didn’t disappoint.
Jon14:
for Quad Tens with a King kicker!
Carl:
for a Royal Flush!
Congratulations!
