The World Cup of Cards Main Event, the $1,500 + $150 WPTDeepStacks, starts Friday, February 1 at 11:00AM with the first of three starting flights. The tour comes to Playground with a $750,000 guarantee and the promise of a great event!
There are four more opportunities to qualify for the big one at a fraction of the cost, in the form of $165 + $15 WPTDeepStacks Satellites, including today’s three:
- Thursday January 31 – 12:00PM – 3 Seats Guaranteed
- Thursday January 31 – 4:00PM – 5 Seats Guaranteed
- Thursday January 31 – 8:00PM – 10 Seats Guaranteed
- Friday February 1 – 7:00PM – 5 Seats Guaranteed
These could allow you to play for a massive prize pool without having to dent your bankroll. Of course, many will simply jump right into the event:
- Friday February 1 – 11:00AM – Day 1A
- Saturday February 2 – 11:00AM – Day 1B
- Sunday February 3 – 11:00AM – Day 1C
- Monday February 4 – 12:00PM – Day 2

Players will play 40-minute levels with a starting stack of 30K, and bag whatever they can accumulate after 15 levels of play. Day 2 will play until the final table is reached, and the conclusion of the tournament will unfold on Day 3.
This format and the great ratio between the buy-in and the guarantee, are some of the things that made the tour’s success. In February of last year, at the 4th Annual American Poker Awards, the WPTDeepStacks won the Mid-Major Tournament Circuit of the Year award.
We then had the pleasure to welcome the successful tour at Playground as part of the WPT Montreal 2018. Canadian David Quang won the event and took home the $222,000 first prize. We will crown our next WPTDeepStacks champion soon… it could be you!
