The $150 + $25 Strangers in the Night, was a great success, attracting a total of 525 entries from four starting flights. The $100 + $10 Playground 100 was the most affordable multi-day event of the series. It proved its drawing power thanks to 743 entries and easily surpassed the $50,000 guarantee. Sébastien Drolet-Poitras rose to the top after three days of play to take down the Playground 100 and pocket $13,451.
To go along with all the successful tournaments, the World Cup of Cards also delivered great cash game action throughout the series. As Playground event veterans know, Bad Beat Jackpots tend to hit during these times, and World Cup of Cards did not disappoint! Thanks to not only one but two huge BBJs, thousands were awarded to a handful of lucky players.
Playground would like to thank all the players for making the World Cup of Cards such a triumph!
