The highly anticipated $500 Heads-Up Tournament started today at Playground Poker. The event sold out very quickly and some were left without a seat in the tournament. Most who didn’t manage to claim their seat quickly forgot, however, and were able to enjoy some cash game action instead. Two familiar faces in the field were Gavin Smith and Montreal local Benjamin Leblond. This tournament comes during the Playground Poker Classic which features something we don t see too often in Canada, a massive $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack, the signature event of the series set to square off on Saturday with potentially up to $360,000 in prize money up for grabs and the winners receiving special championship bracelets.
