Today is day 2 of Event #3, the $25,000 + $300 Super High Roller. The players start with 1,000,000 chips, blind levels are 45 minutes in length until the tournament goes heads-up, at which point they change to 30 minutes, and play continues until a champion is crowned.
There were only a total of six entries today in Day 1, including one re-entry (Andrew Pantling). After losing Marc Macdonnell early on in the evening, and then Niall Farrell later on, all three remaining players bagged for Day 2. Andrew Pantling re-entered early in the evening and it proved to be a good investment, at least so far, as he bagged the largest stack of the three players.
As many of the pros who play high rollers and super high rollers have only arrived in Montreal late yesterday afternoon or evening, we expect to see another 20-30 entries (and some re-entries) take place today in Day 2.
Here are the chip counts of the three players bagging in Day 1:
- Andrew Pantling 3,690,000
- Philipp Gruissem 1,495,000
- Manig Loeser 815,000
