Day 1E has just made the final turn down the home stretch. Now that 12 levels of play are complete, there are still 163 runners in contention with four levels left to go before bagging chips for tomorrow’s Day 2.
Although play has tightened up since the early levels, the all in card made regular appearances throughout the last few levels of play. The shorter stacks in the field are beginning to feel the pressure of the blinds, making pre-flop all ins a more common occurrence.
The chip lead is held by Matthew Wilkins. He is comfortably ahead of everyone else in Day 1E, but, as any player will tell you, things can change quickly in tournament poker so he will have to keep up the play that got him to this point to bring those chips with him to Day 2.
