The late registration and re-entry period has now come to a close and the total number of entries has reached 103 (including 25 re-entries). The top 15 players will be in the money as they bag for Day 2. This brings the total number of entries from all online and live flights so far to 574 entries.
This is definitely a great start to the Grand Prix Canada. There still remains 14 more day 1 starting flights and with the busiest flights usually taking place later in the week, it is quite possible that the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool may in fact be well surpassed!
With the average chip stack now at 190,700, equal to 38 Big blinds, Francois Gagne, the champion of the Playground 200 during this year’s June Power Weekend, sits on top of the leaderboard with a stack of 639,000 chips, good for 128 big blinds.
