There were a total of 101 entries, including 29 re-entries, for Day 1F of the $200 + $20 Grand Prix Canada. The top 14 players have advanced to Day 2 where they will continue to compete for a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
The leaderboard changed from break to break with a few players rotating around the top position. Some were able to double their stacks by winning huge hands while others were not so lucky. The chip leader for Day 1F is Roy Rochette, who dominated the field in the last few levels to bag 2,246,000 in chips.
