    Stefano De Bellis raised in early position and Nabil Mardelli, seated on his direct left and who was nursing a smaller stack, moved all in. It folded back around to De Bellis who snap-called.

    Mardelli’s timing could not have been worse as he walked into pocket aces. The board runout was of no help and he became the first casualty of the final table.

    The players just had a 15-minute break and have returned to level 16 with 49 players still left in the running. Blind levels are 30 minutes in length and play will slow down a bit as the structure allows the players to find the right spots to make their moves.

    Players are back from the break for level 13 where the blinds have now increased to 30-minutes long. All 79 remaining players are able to earn points for the series leaderboard in hopes of qualifying for the Championship event later this year.

    Stephane Houle has moved up the leaderboard from third place to first with a huge stack of 194,000 which is currently worth 80 big blinds. In a very strange coincidence the competitor in second place is also named Stephane Houle and he has a stack of 191,500.

    It will be interesting to see if Stephane Houle can surpass Stephane Houle.

Level 13 will move to 30-minutes until heads-up play begins when play will be reverted to 20-minute blinds once again. Several competitors have built up a wall of chips but the majority of the field sits around the current chip average of 57,800.

    154 competitors have returned to the field after the first break of the day. There were a total of 213 entries before late registration closed at 2:15pm which put a whopping 5,325,000 chips into play! The 213 entries were able to smash the $10,000 guarantee prize pool for a new total of $37,062. Stay tuned for the full prize pool to be announced shortly.

    Danielle Dussault has taken the early lead with a stack of 108,500 which more than triples the current chip average of 34,000. Marcello Rosa is not too far behind in second with 95,300 in chips, currently good for 158 big blinds.
