Despite the snowy conditions outside, players have been steadily making their way in to the tournament hall since the beginning of play at 11:00am to push the number of entries beyond the century mark after only two levels of play.
The only player to hit the rail in the early stages has already re-entered, with more than one hour left to go in the late registration and re-entry period, there are sure to be many more to follow in the levels ahead.

The World Cup of Cards gets underway today with three exciting events on tap, starting with Event #1, the $200 + $20 8-Max Deepstack Re-entry at 11:00am.
The 8-Max Deepstack Re-entry is a single-day event that guarantees a prize pool of at least $20,000. Players start with 30,000 in chips to play through as many 20-minute levels as needed to determine a winner.
As a re-entry event, players are permitted unlimited re-entries until the end of the late registration at the beginning of level 7 at 1:15pm.
