Day 2 of Event #18, the $100 + $10 Playground 100 has now come to an end. With a total of 743 entries, 76 players returned in the money today to play Day 2. Play was scheduled to either play down to the nine-handed final table, or, 12 levels. As play slowed down in the final levels, the floor announced near the end of level 28 that play would stop after four more hands. There were still 13 players left in contention at that point.
During the last four hands, the action picked up as the short stacks picked up hands and tried their best to secure a double-up to head into Day 3. Unfortunately, there were three bustouts during the last four hands. Jahendra Mahendra Rajah exited in 13th place for $900. Eric Ranger exited in 12th place for $1,130. A special mention to Rose-Ann Levert who finished in 11th place for $1,130 in her first ever live tournament that she has played.
When the action came to a halt, it was Loai El Ayday who was in the top spot, with an impressive 3,460,000 chips, good for 43 big blinds.

As there are still 10 players left in the field and the final table plays out nine-handed, play will continue on Day 3 on two five-handed tables. Once an elimination takes place, there will be a seating re-draw and the final table will be formed. Players are all assured of at least $1,360 and are playing for the top prize of $13,451.
