It’s Superbowl Sunday and also Day 1B of Event #18 of the 2020 World Cup of Cards, the $100 + $10 Playground 100, the most affordable multi-day tournament of the entire series.
Players have a 20,000 chip starting stack and play 10-handed through 20-minute blind levels. Once space permits, play will become nine-handed. Play will continue until only 10% of the filed remains, at which point all players will be in the money and will bag their chip stack to move forward to Day 2.
There are unlimited re-entries available right up until the end of the late registration period which is at the start of level seven at 9:15pm.
Yesterday’s Day 1A starting flight saw 174 entries with 18 players qualifying for Day 2. Local player Sebastien “Seabass” Drolet-Poitras was able to bag 472,000 chips to take the lead. Let’s see if any player can top that outstanding accomplishment in tonight’s flight!
The cards are in the air and there are large screen TV’s all around the tournament room showing the Superbowl, so come on down for some poker and football action.
Good luck to all competitors!
