Gregg Savard was getting short and decided to open shove to see if he could find a double up. Ron G. made the call, but then Joseph Cheuong raised it up to isolate. Ron G. let go, and the hands were tabled:

Savard: Queen of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds
Cheong: Ace of Hearts 8 of Spades

The board ran out Jack of Clubs 10 of Diamonds Queen of Hearts 9 of Clubs 8 of Clubs. It was a chopped pot, which let Savard stay alive to see another flop. Ron G. laughed as he said “I folded a king, I would have won, dang.”

In level 3 the tournament is now up to 31 entries (including 2 re-entries) and late registration will remain open until 12:30am! Day 1E turbo flight is about to start!

    October 26, 2019October 26, 2019 | 9:58pm | Playground

The WPT Montreal continues on at 10:00pm with Day 1E of the $500 + $50 WPT500.

This epic, multi-day event has already gathered 1,144 entries through five online flights and four live flights. So far, 121 players have advance stacks to Day 2, which will be held Monday, October 28 at 1:00pm. To see the combined Day 1 results, click here.

Each starting flight of the WPT500 starts players with stacks of 30,000 in chips to play through as many 30-minute levels as needed to reduce the field to one in seven entries, at which point the players will bag their chips for Day 2. Each Day 1 will play 10-handed and move to 9-handed play as soon as possible.

The WPT500 is an unlimited re-entry event, with unlimited re-entries permitted until the beginning of the ninth level of play on each Day 1, which will arrive at 12:30am on Day 1E. Players can enter multiple starting flights but only their largest stack can be used on Day 2; all other qualifying stacks will be forfeited, but players will receive the associated cash prize for any forfeited stacks.

    Good luck to all!
