Day 1h was the final starting flight of the WPT 500. When late registration came to a close, there were a total of 128 entries, which allowed for the top 18 players to bag and tag to head into Day 2.

Being a turbo format with 15 minute blind levels, the lead changed back and forth throughout the evening, and when it was all said and done, Jean-Francois Lescadres had the top stack with 416,500 chips. He was followed by Habib Rachidi Alaoui with 386,500 chips, and Raffi Ghazarian with 350,000. Jonathan B., who was the first break chip leader, had the fourth largest bag with 325,000.

The combined Day 1 results and Day 2 seating draw will be published tomorrow morning. Play resumes for Day 2 tomorrow at 1:00pm. Click here to see the chip counts and seating draw. Play will resume with the blinds at 2,000/4,000.

There are now only 36 players seated at the tables all looking to make it to the top 18 spots in order to bag for Day 2. The blinds are starting to creep up and there should be quite a few eliminations over the next level or two, and as the bubble approaches, play will most probably slow down.

Recent bustouts include: Matthew Witterick, Sean Carpenter, Michael Sowers, James Mosely, Noeung Troeung, David Ghazarian, Fady Khabbaz, Tony Tran, Eric Ranger, Jackob Datashvili, Jean-Philippe Piquette, Jason Comtois, and David Bolduc-Hamel.

Late registration has come to close in the last starting flight (1H) and in the end a total of 128 players entered (including 23 re-entries), which means that 18 players will be advancing to Day 2 with a guaranteed min-cash!

With an average chip stack just over 60,000, Jonathan B. has managed to amass 169,900 to take the lead.

Attention, Attention! This is your final chance to join the action in the WPT500 as the final flight 1H (turbo) has just begun! With 2,007 players who have now entered the various online and live flights that have been running all week long, this last flight will bring the total prize pool just over the guarantee.

Each starting flight of the WPT500 starts players with stacks of 30,000 in chips to play through as many 30-minute levels as needed to reduce the field to one in seven entries, at which point the players will bag their chips for Day 2. Each Day 1 will play 10-handed and move to 9-handed play as soon as possible.  

The WPT500 is an unlimited re-entry event, with unlimited re-entries permitted until the beginning of the 11th level of play on the turbo flights, which will arrive at 12:45am. Players can enter multiple starting flights but only their largest stack can be used on Day 2; all other qualifying stacks will be forfeited, but players will receive the associated cash prize for any forfeited stacks.
