The second of three starting flights for the $3,000 + $300 WPT Montreal Main Event is about to begin!

With a prize pool guarantee of $3,000,000, the Main Event has brought out players from far and wide. It features eight 60-minute levels of on each starting flight, and starts players with 40,000 in chips. Following a multiple re-entry structure, players are permitted one entry and one re-entry per starting flight, as well as on Day 2 prior to the end of the late registration and re-entry period at the beginning of level 13. Players can enter multiple starting flights; if a player advances multiple stacks to Day 2 then they will resume play with their largest qualifying stack.

Many players got a head start on the Main Event, thanks to an Online Day 1 & 2 held on partypoker. The Online Day 1 & 2 collected 101 entries, which allowed 14 players to make it directly to Day 3. Yesterday’s Day 1 had 182 entries, with 98 players advancing to Day 2. To see the combined Day 1 results, click here.
