That’s a wrap for Day 1F of the Colossus. With a total of 321 runners today, 49 players bagged and tagged to move on to day 2. All players who made it to Day 2 are now guaranteed a min-cash of $600, and if any players play more than 1 Day and bag multiple bags, they will play their largest stack and receive a min-cash for each additional bag.
The last hand of play saw Shailesh Patel shove pocket tens ( ), only to walk into pocket kings ( ) held by local Noy U. The board ran out , giving Noy a set on the river, and putting Patel into the unfortunate position of being the Day 1F bubble boy. This boosted Noy’s stack to 439,000, making him the overall Day 1 chip leader. It now remains to be seen if any player can top that in one of the last three starting flights taking place on Sunday.
Other big stacks from tonight’s flight include: Rasvan Rimniceanu, Rami Hammoud, Sebastian Tejada, Weituoxin Wu, and William Pettersen, to just name a few. To see the combined Day 1 results with chip counts, click here (tonight’s results will be entered sometime late on Sunday morning).
