Event #1 of the WSOP-C Playground, the $300 + $30 Colossus, kicks off this Sunday, August 18, at 4:00pm on partypoker!

Known far and wide, the Colossus is an epic multi-day event that will bring out players in droves to compete for part of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Sunday’s Online Day 1A will be the first of four online flights, which will be followed by nine live starting flights. 

Players can qualify for the Colossus for a fraction of the buy-in, thanks to a series of online satellites. Running from August 18 to 21, there will be a total of eight affordable satellites that will qualify at least 200 players. Click here to see the full schedule of satellites. 

Each starting flight, whether online or live, will start players with 20,000 in chips and play until 15% of the field remains. Play will begin ten-handed, before moving to nine-handed as soon as possible. The blinds will increase every 12 minutes on all Online Day 1s.

The Colossus is a re-entry event with unlimited re-entries permitted until the end of the late registration period. Players who qualify more than once for Day 2 will resume play on Day 2 with their largest qualifying stack; all other qualifying stacks will be forfeited, but players will retain the associated cash prize. 

The Online Day 1B runs Monday, August 16 at 7:00pm, followed by Online Day 1C on Tuesday at 7:00pm and Online Day 1D on Wednesday at 7:00pm before the live action begins at noon on Thursday. There will be at least two live starting flights per day throughout the week before Day 2 action starts on Monday, August 26 at noon.
